Following his military service, he completed plastic and reconstructive surgery training at The University of Alabama at Birmingham under the mentorship of Dr. Luis O. Vasconez.
He later returned to San Antonio to complete advanced fellowship training in hand surgery and microsurgery at The Hand Center of San Antonio, where he now provides specialized care for patients with hand, wrist, and upper extremity conditions.
