The Hand Center Welcomes Dr. Eduardo Hevia-Crespo!

The Spanish Exchange Program at the Hand Center of San Antonio

The Hand Center of San Antonio is happy to host Dr. Eduardo Hevia-Crespo from Madrid, Spain as the most recent rotating Orthopaedic Surgery Resident as part of the Spanish Exchange Program in partnership with El Hospital Universitario La Paz in Madrid, Spain.

As part of this Hand and Microvascular Surgery Elective, Orthopaedic Surgery Residents from La Paz (and other Spanish hospitals) have the opportunity to rotate through the Hand Center of San Antonio as a 1-2 month elective during their senior years of training.

They will observe the evaluation and treatment of common upper extremity problems in both the clinical and operating room setting, attend regularly scheduled lectures and participate in a weekly cadaver lab in which they will learn various approaches to the upper extremity, practice common procedures performed by hand surgeons and learn and apply basic microsurgical techniques.

Welcome, Dr. Hevia!
